Abstract
1. Dünya Savaşı’nda dönemin Osmanlı basını ve efkâr-ı umumiye, Rus İhtilâlini heyecanla karşılamış ve İhtilâle yönelik olumlu bir tutum benimsemiştir. Osmanlı Basını ve aydınları, İhtilal sırasında “sulh” sözü verdikleri için Bolşeviklere sempatiyle yaklaşmıştır. İstanbul gazeteleri Rus ihtilalinin yalnızca “sulh” değil Rusya topraklarında yaşayan azınlıklara özellikle Müslüman ve Türk nüfusa “serbestîye” sağlayacağını düşünmüştür. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yazılı basın haberlerinin çözümlenmesi için haberlerin bir söylem biçimi olarak ele alınması ve dönemin öne çıkan, “ana damar” Osmanlı basını olan Tanin, İkdam, Tasvir-i Efkâr, Sabah, Vakit gazetelerinin Rus İhtilâli ile ilgili haber söylemlerinin çözümlenmesidir. Bir söylem biçimi olarak Osmanlı gazetelerinin haberlerinin ele alınacağı çalışmada yöntem, seçmeci kaynak kullanımı, haber başlığının seçimi, haberin hangi toplumsal bağlamda kurulduğu ve yeniden üretildiğini ortaya çıkarmayı sağlayan söylem analizi olacaktır.

Abstract
During 1st World War, the Ottoman Press and the public opinion had affirmative attitudes and high enthusiasm towards the Russian Revolution. They had sympathy towards the Bolsheviks because they had promised “peace” during the revolution. Istanbul newspapers thought that the Revolution would not only provide "peace" but also will give freedom to the Muslim and Turkish minorities living in Russia. The aim of this study is to analyze the news discourse about the Russian Revolution of the newspapers Tanin, İkdam, Tasvir-i Efkâr, Sabah, Vakit which is the main vein of the Ottoman press. As a form of discourse, there will be an analysis of the discourse that will reveal how the news will be handled, the method of use of the electorate, the choice of the news headline, the social context in which the news is founded and reproduced.
