Abstract
Yazar, edebiyatın hangi dalında eser verirse versin, bulunduğu çevrenin maddi-manevi yapısının etkisi altında kalır. Aynı zamanda sanatçı da bulunduğu çevreyi etkiler. Yazarın ortaya koyduğu eserde toplumun etkisi oldukça önemlidir. Sanatın vazgeçilmez dallarından biri olan edebiyat, diğer sanatlar gibi çok yönlü ve karmaşık bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu nedenle herhangi bir edebi eser hakkında eksiksiz bilgi edinmek istediğimiz zaman, eserin toplumsal yönlerini daima göz önünde bulundurmamız gerekir. Bu çalışmada, Robert Escarpıt’in “Edebiyat Sosyolojisi” kitabının dördüncü bölümündeki “Toplum İçinde Yazar” başlığı örnek alınarak 1860 ile 1895 yılları arası Türk edebiyatında eser vermiş Tanzimat dönemi yazarlarının doğum yerleri arasındaki ilişkiyi (Edebiyat Coğrafyası), yazarların ve aile meslekleri ile ilişkisini ve yazarların ekonomik hayatla ilişkisini inceleyerek toplum içindeki konumu değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
Regardless of the literary genre in which a writer produces their work, they are influenced by the material and spiritual structure of the environment they inhabit. Simultaneously, the artist also influences their surroundings. The influence of society on the work created by a writer should not be underestimated. Literature, one of the indispensable branches of art, like other arts, has a multifaceted and complex structure. Therefore, when we seek comprehensive knowledge about any literary work, we must always consider its societal aspects. In this study, we will examine the place of Tanzimat era writers who produced works in Turkish literature between 1860 and 1895, taking the chapter titled 'The Writer Within Society' from Robert Escarpit's book 'Sociology of Literature' as an example.
