Abstract
Türkiye'de tekstil tasarımı ve özellikle halı tasarımı eğitimi veren kurumlar, sektörün ihtiyaçlarına uygun nitelikli tasarımcılar yetiştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Kurumların eğitim programlarındaki tasarım dersleri, öğrencilerin yaratıcılıklarını geliştirmek ve teknik becerilerini kazandırmak adına önemli bir role sahiptir. Bununla birlikte halı tasarımıyla ilgili bilgisayar destekli tasarım derslerinin yeterlilik düzeyi, öğrencilerin sektöre uyum süreçlerini etkileyebilir. Bu çalışma, mevcut bilgisayar destekli tasarım ders içeriklerinin sektör ihtiyaçlarına yetersiz kaldığı göz önünde bulundurularak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öncelikle, halı tasarımı eğitimi veren kurumların mevcut programları incelenmiş ve bu programların sektöre yönelik gereksinimlere uygunluğu değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucunda, Adobe Photoshop programının öğrenilmesinin sektörde gerekliliği ve yararları üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu programın öğrenilmesi, öğrencilerin tasarımlarını dijital ortamda daha etkin bir şekilde oluşturmalarını, düzenlemelerini ve sunumlarını yapmalarını sağlayacaktır. Ayrıca, Adobe Photoshop'un katmanlar, filtreler, kalem araçları ve renk seçenekleri gibi özellikleri, halı tasarımında çeşitlilik ve özgünlük sağlama potansiyeline sahiptir. Halı tasarımı eğitiminde bilgisayar destekli tasarım ders içeriklerinin güncellenmesi ve Adobe Photoshop gibi programların entegre edilmesinin önemini vurgulamaktadır. Adobe Photoshop’un öğrenilmesi, öğrencilerin sektöre daha hızlı adapte olmalarını, mevcut teknolojileri etkin bir şekilde kullanmalarını ve yaratıcılıklarını daha iyi ifade etmelerini; ayrıca halı tasarımı sektöründe yetenekli ve rekabetçi tasarımcıların yetişmesine katkı sağlayacaktır.

Abstract
Institutions providing textile design education in Turkey, particularly in carpet design, aim to nurture qualified designers who meet the industry's needs. Design courses within the curriculum play a crucial role in enhancing students' creativity and equipping them with technical skills. However, the proficiency level of computer-aided design courses related to carpet design can impact students' adaptability to the industry. This study addresses the insufficiency of existing computer-aided design course content in meeting industry requirements. Initially, the current programs offered by institutions providing carpet design education were examined, and their alignment with industry needs was evaluated. As a result of this assessment, emphasis was placed on the necessity and benefits of learning Adobe Photoshop in the industry. Acquiring proficiency in this program enables students to create, modify, and present their designs more effectively in the digital realm. Moreover, Adobe Photoshop's features such as layers, filters, pen tools, and color options have the potential to introduce diversity and originality in carpet design. The study highlights the importance of updating computer-aided design course content in carpet design education and integrating programs like Adobe Photoshop. Learning Adobe Photoshop facilitates students' quicker adaptation to the industry, enables effective utilization of current technologies, enhances their ability to express creativity, and contributes to the development of skilled and competitive designers in the carpet design sector.
