Abstract

Abstract

The concept of quality in health systems in the world is gaining more importance day by day. It is very important for managers in health organizations to know and apply management models based on measurement and continuous improvement in this process. Quality indicators define the level of success of well managed systems numerically. The use of nursing sensitive indicators is extremely important for the management of care practices. The continuous improvement process of health services requires systematic evaluation of care. The development of systematic, evidence-based, valid and comprehensive nursing-sensitive quality indicators can facilitate accurate and precise measurement and evaluation of nursing care and their positive effects on patient outcomes. Nursing has a key role in this process. It is the biggest component of the health workforce. Managerial nurses are a leader in coordinating quality systems and coordinating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Managerial nurses need to reach comprehensive data and decide how best to use this data to improve quality in nursing care and contribute to their employees.
