Abstract

We can express the concept of financial literacy, which is considered as one of the literacy areas required by the digital age, that people have information about financial events and financial practices and that they can manage their income effectively thanks to this financial information, as well as providing personal budget control by turning towards the right investments and savings. Persons having knowledge of financial matters is an important factor to use scarce financial resources by increasing savings correctly, to manage the financial risks correctly and direct the policies and strategies of people at the micro level and of the countries at the macro level and to increase the welfare of society. The fact that people have a high level of financial knowledge at an early age will enable them to make more accurate and sound decisions on financial matters, and will contribute to managing potential economic risks and utilizing opportunities. In this study, financial literacy level of vocational school students was determined and the relationship between financial literacy level and demographic variables was examined. As a result of the research, it was determined that vocational school students had a significant relationship between financial literacy level and various demographic variables. In the research, it was determined that the vocational school students' financial literacy level was low.
